Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: If a reservation is cancelled:

Campsite Reservations:
(Per site for multiple site reservations)

31+ days before arrival -Refund minus $30 cancellation fee + processing fee
15–30 days before arrival -Refund minus first night of reservation + processing fee
8–14 days before arrival -Refund minus 50% of reservation + processing fee
7 days or less before arrival -No refund

Cabin Reservations:
(Per cabin for multiple cabin reservations)

61+ days before arrival -Refund minus $50 cancellation fee
31–60 days before arrival -Refund minus first night of reservation
30 days or less before arrival -No refund

Travel Protection:
-Travel protection is non-refundable and managed by a third-party provider
(please use the link in your confirmation email to file a claim).

Please note, processing fees are non-refundable on all reservations

RESERVATION CHANGES & SHORTENED STAYS:

Removing nights from a reservation is considered a partial cancellation (minimum nights apply-see policies for more details)
Must be provided in writing to aiacamping@gmail.com.

Campsite removal of nights:

31+ days before arrival - 75% refund of the nightly rate OR a $25 modification fee per change (whichever is greater).
8-30 days before arrival - 50% refund of the nightly rate.
7 days or less before arrival - No refund

*Removing multiple nights that results in a stay shorter than originally booked may require relocation to a different site if availability requires.

Cabin removal of nights:

61+ days before arrival - 75% refund of nightly rate
31-60 days before arrival - 50% refund of nightly rate
30 days or less before arrival - No refund

Q: Can I cancel my reservation online? 
A: All cancellations must be made in writing via email (aiacancelmystay@gmail.com).  

Q: What if I do not arrive on my first day of my reservation?
A: If you are not able to make the first day(s) of your reservation, please notify our office.  If we are not notified, your reservation will be forfeited and will become available to other guests.

Q: Is the site length listed (on the website) for the camper/ RV length only? 
A:  It is the camper/ RV length only.  Each site will also accommodate a vehicle.  Large trucks may need to park in designated parking areas if they do not fit at the site. 

Q: What are your quiet hours?
A:  10:00 pm- 7:00 am
We are a quiet campground and strictly enforce our quiet hours.  
We want everyone to enjoy their stay, so please be courteous to your fellow neighbors!

Q: Do you have Wi-Fi?
A: Yes, we do have Wi-Fi in both sides of our park
.  Signal strength may vary in certain areas.

Q: When is your campground open? 
A: Our campground is open Memorial weekend to the 1st full weekend in October.


Q: When is check-in and check-out?
A: Campsites:
     Check-in starts at 1:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am
     Cabins:
     Check-in starts at 3:00 pm and check-out is at 10:00 am 

Q: Do you allow pets while tenting or in your rentals? 
A: Unfortunately, we do not allow pets while tenting or in any of our rental cabins/units. We are pet-friendly and pets are allowed in hard-sided campers/RVs.  Please see our pet policy for more information. 

Q: Do you have firewood? 

A: Yes, we have bundles of firewood for sale.  We do not allow carry-in firewood.  We love our beautiful trees and do not want harmful insects brought in.  Thank you for understanding. 

Q: If we are full-time RV'ers, can we forward mail here?
A: Yes, we are happy to offer this service.  Please send mail/packages to:

Q: Is your campground on the water?
A: No, we are not on the water.  However, we have a swimming pond with a beautiful beach!  Also, we are 1 mile south of public beaches and a public boat launch.  There are many beautiful beaches very close to our campground. In addition, The Bayfield Recreational Center offers swimming and fitness services for a daily guest fee.

Q: Do you have showers and flush toilets?
A: Yes, we have very clean bathroom and free shower facilities (strictly Apostle Islands Area Campground guests only).

Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes, with the exception of American Express.

Q: Do you have groceries?
A: We carry some essential grocery items in our camp store, along with souvenirs and gifts!  

Q: Can the Apostle Islands be seen from the campground?
A: From some sites, the islands are visible. Sites 49,50,53,54,55 have some views, but trees are growing fast! Sites 60,61,63,85,94 also have views of Long Island and parts of Lake Superior. Most of our sites are in nice wooded or partially wooded areas that do not have a view of the islands but offer a very quiet and peaceful setting.

Q: How far are you from Bayfield?
A: 1 mile south of Bayfield.

Q: Do you have laundry?
A: Yes! Laundry facilities are located at each of our shower houses.  

Q: Do you have entertainment at the campground?
A: We are mainly a tourist campground. However, we do have a beautiful swim pond, mini golf, playground for small children, a gaga ball pit and a volleyball net. Most of our guests come and stay with us and enjoy all Bayfield and the Apostle Islands have to offer. The Big Top Chautauqua has an outstanding lineup of entertainment.  Visit bigtop.org for show details and tickets.

Q: Are your site's level?
A: We work very hard to try and keep our sites nice and level. 

Q: Can you accommodate large Motorhomes?
A: Yes, we can accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheels up to 45' in length.  Additional trailers need to be pre approved to ensure adequate parking space is available. 

Q: Do you have 50 amp sites?
A: Yes, we currently have (66) 50 amp sites. 

Q: Is there Uber or a shuttle?
A: Currently, we do not have Uber available. However, we recommend using Bay Area Rural Transit (BART).  They will pick you up from the camp store parking lot (you call and schedule a pick up and drop off time).
